One of Peru’s most charismatic cities, with colonial-style streets remaining similar in their appearance for literally centuries, Trujillo features an abundance of churches and ostentatious mansions. Few places in the Americas can claim a historical and archaeological legacy comparable to this region. It was here, between the Moche and Chicama rivers, that the Moche Culture reached its apogee, leaving behind the Huacas of the Sun and Moon, the El Brujo complex and the Lady of Cao.
